Ooze Out Update: Free ipods!

now sounds
It has been brought to the attention of the Ooze Out staff that ipod laced bear traps have been placed around downtown Asheville. If you listen to the Ooze Out Program, please, do not pick up these ipods. Speaking of ipods, did you know that Starbucks recording artists Sonic Youth recently programmed door prize ipods at a benefit for the The Society for the Activation of Social Space through Art and Sound (SASSAS). Patrons of the arts who could afford the 300 $ admission fee got to see performances by bands who couldn’t, Ariel Pink and the Encounter Group, at the home of a Pacific Palisades CA art collector . WPVM listeners will get to hear these group’s blistering sets for free on this week’s edition of the Ooze Out Program, to be broadcast Tuesday July 8th at 10pm. For more of our contiuing dialog on analog vs. digital culture stay tuned for Ooze Out artist interviews starting in the next couple of weeks. For the best of Rock and Experimental from around the world…
